What are vehicle Surface Mount Perimeter Lights?
Perimeter lights, also commonly referred to as surface mounts or directional L.E.D.s are small low profile secondary warning products that are strategically placed around a vehicle's surface, grille or perimeter to assist a roof mounted primary product achieve adequate 360 degree warning capability for that vehicle. These small sized lights are available in all 6 L.E.D. colours, featuring solid state design with integrated flash pattern selection and are 10-30V DC multi voltage ready for all vehicle types from trucks, cars, bikes to marine vessels and aircraft applications.
All our L.E.D. perimeter warning lights comfortably meet and exceed minimum requirements as per SAE J595 Class 1 Performance Standards.

Why surface mount perimeter light should not be used on it's own without a primary product present?
Perimeter lights belong to the secondary type because it can only produce a directional light beam achieving up to 180 degrees of warning visibility and effectiveness. Such a product is best used in pairs or more as perimeter lights help outline the profile size of a vehicle and can usually fit in tight places where other products cannot. At times when a primary roof mounted product is obscured by vehicle design or other accessories, perimeter lights can be added to compensate for that section of the vehicle.

Featuring three programmable operating modes, X-TREME Series lights can flash in any combination of the three available colours, each with a unique pattern. REDFLEET HALO Hide-A-Way L.E.D. Dual-Colour Warning Lights make it possible to install a small but powerful flashing light with the OEM rear tail lights of your vehicle. Whilst this is not possible for every vehicle make and model, some vehicle tail lights provide enough space for a HALO Hide-A-Way L.E.D. Warning Light to be securely installed within the housing.
HALO series lights come as a paired set, utilizing the OEM tail lights reflector housing to create a powerful warning signal providing an additional layer of safety whilst maintaining a covert appearance.
