What are vehicle Surface Mount Perimeter Lights?
Perimeter lights, also known as surface mounts or directional LEDs, are compact, low-profile secondary warning lights placed strategically around a vehicle’s surface, grille, or perimeter. These lights complement the vehicle's primary roof-mounted warning system by enhancing 360-degree visibility. Available in all seven LED colors, they feature a solid-state design with integrated flash pattern options and are versatile, supporting a wide voltage range (10-30V DC) to suit various vehicles, including trucks, cars, motorcycles, marine vessels, and aircraft.
L.E.D. Colours available include Amber, Blue, Green, Magenta, Red, White and the all-new Hi-Vis Safety Yellow.

Why should perimeter lights not be used as the primary warning system?
Perimeter lights are considered secondary warning products because they only provide a directional light beam, offering up to 180 degrees of visibility. To maximize their effectiveness, they are best used in pairs or multiples. These lights help outline a vehicle's profile, making them ideal for tight spaces where other lights may not fit. When a vehicle’s primary roof-mounted warning system is obstructed by design features or accessories, perimeter lights can be added to fill in any gaps, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

X-TREME Series perimeter warning lights are the latest in tri-colour warning light technology.
Featuring three programmable operating modes, X-TREME Series lights can flash in any combination of the three available colours, each with a unique pattern. This makes them a perfect choice for multi-role vehicles, or vehicles needing multiple modes of operation, such as a Response Mode with a high intensity flash pattern, and On-Scene Mode with a slower, less dazzling pattern.

REDFLEET HALO Hide-A-Way L.E.D. Dual-Colour Warning Lights make it possible to install a small but powerful flashing light with the OEM rear tail lights of your vehicle. Whilst this is not possible for every vehicle make and model, some vehicle tail lights provide enough space for a HALO Hide-A-Way L.E.D. Warning Light to be securely installed within the housing.
HALO series lights come as a paired set, utilizing the OEM tail lights reflector housing to create a powerful warning signal providing an additional layer of safety whilst maintaining a covert appearance.
