iTECH 40A 12/24V DCDC and MPPT Battery Charger

The iTECHDCDC40 is designed to keep your battery fully charged, regardless of its size or chemistry.

This advanced DCDC charger includes a built-in MPPT solar regulator, allowing it to draw power from solar panels or solar blankets when available. While your engine is running, it charges through the vehicle’s alternator, and when the vehicle is off, it automatically switches to solar charging—ensuring your battery is always topped up if solar is connected.

One of iTechworld’s exclusive features is Solar Power Priority (SPP), which lets you prioritise solar charging over alternator charging with the simple press of a button. Using solar power first reduces load on your vehicle, helps lower fuel use, and is a more environmentally conscious way to stay powered.

Specifically built for the harsh Australian climate, the iTECHDCDC40 boasts an IP67-rated casing that’s waterproof, dustproof, and vibration-resistant. Its durable metal housing is designed to manage heat effectively, and integrated mounting brackets make installation under the bonnet quick and hassle-free.

Many modern vehicles are equipped with smart alternators that often fail to provide consistent voltage for auxiliary battery charging. The iTECHDCDC40 solves this problem by automatically boosting voltage, ensuring effective charging even across long cable runs—ideal for use with camper trailers and caravans.

Thanks to its 3-pin Anderson plug connection, the iTECHDCDC40 works seamlessly with all types of alternators, including smart systems.

This unit also supports a wide range of input voltages—up to 32V—whether coming from solar or your vehicle. This flexibility means it can accept 24V sources and higher-voltage solar panels, including those commonly used in home solar setups.

Compatible with all major battery types, the iTECHDCDC40 performs especially well with iTechworld lithium batteries. These batteries have built-in protection and will enter a safe mode if their voltage drops below 10V. While some chargers struggle to revive lithium batteries in this state, the iTECHDCDC40 does it automatically. Simply disconnect the load, and the charger will bring the battery back online—no extra steps required.
